Exciting news: I have written my very first guest post on another author’s blog!
Check it out by clicking here.
For this guest post, I had my choice of writing an author interview or a character interview. I chose the character interview for two reasons: 1) I wanted to do a character interview, and the opportunity arose and 2) I think the fact that Rachel Kent, the sleuth in my Tech-Free B&B cozy mystery series, lives without a cell phone or a computer makes her unique, and I wanted to focus on her.
I received a list of questions and had the task of writing as Rachel when I answered those questions. I write the books in first person, so it wasn’t a stretch to write the answers to the questions that way. However, I wasn’t writing a novel, so it did feel different. The questions were from someone else, and that always changes things. Another person will come up with stuff I had never thought about. That is also an exciting challenge.
I had a fun time seeing my sleuth in a new light through someone else’s questions. I hope you enjoy reading the character interview as much I enjoyed writing it!
